Fav New Website - Your First Memory

First Memories - David Kramer from zack mctee on Vimeo.

Your First Memory is an interesting new web project by Zack McTee. It's one of those simple, yet brilliant ideas that you wish you came up with yourself, or at least I do. But then again, I couldn't make the lovely, high quality visual snippets that Zack brings to the table.

Every week he features a new person talking about their first memory. The videos are short and very sweet. This project has endless possibilities and with Zack's fantastic camera work and easy way with people this has the potential to bring many weeks of entertainment.

So grab his feed or bookmark it. You won't want to miss the next memory.

Family Ties

{Via BBC}

More exciting happenings is the lives of my kin this week:

My talented cousin Phil, who lives here in LA, was quoted throughout a CNN.com article on being a struggling artiste. He comes off great and gets publicity for his comedy group Moon County. Way to be a press whore, Phil!

Plus there are some quotes from a professor at my alma-mater, Ball State University.

My cousin Brenna and her husband, Nick, have been living down in Argentina since the summer. This week they crossed the boarder into Chile to experience a little eco-adventuring and instead got themselves in the middle of a volcano eruption

Last we g-chatted, Brenna was waiting to hear if their town was being evacuated and ash was covering everything. I have no update, but I've seen her logged into gmail, so I'm assuming it all turned out fine. A good one for the grand kids, guys! Hope one of you is writing this stuff down.

Wrestle Mania

{Tommy, AKA, Lil'Tom takin' down the competition - Ohhhh Yeaahhhh!}

My family is full of talent, really, we have more than our share. We have fantastic artists that range from photographers to painters, musicians that would knock your socks off with their mastered instrument or vocals, we are writers and comedians, designers and scholars. What we are not, in general, is good at sports. I mean, my cousin Hogan is a professional dancer, but let's not put the kid on the basketball court.

One shining exception to this rule, and I do mean shining, look at that red hair, is my cousin Tommy. He won his district wrestling championship in Florida, came in second at regionals and is off to state this coming weekend to wow the crowds, I'm sure.

So way to go Tommy! We're proud of you! Good luck at State. And in the words of his father, "whether he wins it all or not, he's still a champ." Here here!

Kitty Valentine

One of my kitties left me a Valentine. I can't be sure about which one, but I'm guessing it's Mischa, because Tres usually just pees in the corner.
